Dr.Games.H.Mecaitney established the Second Clinical College and Affiliated Hospital (SCCAH), Chongqing Medical University (CQMU), on October 2, 1892, (then named Kuan Ren Hospital -- the Hospital of Benevolence). With a history of 110 years, SCCAH has developed into a modern teaching hospital covering modern medicine and medical research.

SCCAH was affiliated with Chongqing Medical University in 1962, making significant contributions to educating the caregivers of tomorrow. The college operates the Department of Clinical Medicine and the Department of Imaging Medicine of CQMU. It is not only responsible for the teaching of students of various levels in 9 majors from 7 departments of CQMU, but also the cultivation of Msc candidates, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers. She offers 29 Master’s Degree programs and 18 Doctor’s Degree programs with about 100 supervisors of MSc and PhD candidates. Each year, over 100 postgraduates (MSC, PhD and MD) graduate from SCCAH. She owns the Base for Drug Clinical Trial of State Food and Drug Administration, Chongqing Key Laboratory for Molecular Biology of Infectious Diseases, Chongqing Key Laboratory of Biomedical Engineering, as well as Institute for Viral Hepatitis, CQMU and Institute of Ultrasound Engineering in Medicine of CQMU.
