Cisanello Hospital of University of Pisa is an affiliated hospital to University of Pisa,one of the oldest universities in Europe. It is not only the educational department of medical school in Pisa University, but also the referral centre of Pancreatopathy in TUSCANY district, referral centre of minimally invasive and advanced surgical technology as well as transplanting referral centre. With 49 sickbeds in general surgery department and transplanting department, 5 operating rooms and an Intensive Care Unit accommodated with 8 sickbeds, Cisanello Hospital has more than 2000 cases of operations and its polyclinic has about 15,000 registered patients each year.
